One artist, Andrew Chase, makes remarkable mechanical statues of elephants, giraffes and robots from recycled plumbing and auto parts. He gets discarded transmission and engine parts from his local auto shop, and by combining these with plumbing pipes and fixtures he creates wonderful, moving creatures.
