The requirement of healthy food seems to apply equally to humans and their pets, because many pet owners prefer to buy organic foods to feed their four-legged friends. One could be forgiven for being surprised at the large variety of organic dog food on offer in the market. Just like for humans, there are a lot of pet illnesses that one could cure or even prevent in the first place by the use of organic pet food.
For instance, organic dog food could lessen the risk of the pet getting skin diseases and allergies. The explanation for the positive health effects is the absence of additives, chemicals, colourants and pesticides. Instead the ingredients in organic dog food are only grain extracts and high quality proteins.
Regular dog food often causes diabetes and excess weight with all the concomitant problems that accompany these illnesses: back ailment, organ failure and decreased mobility. How can organic dog food help here? Well, organic food items for pets do not contain bulk fillers, they are nutrient-packed products that create energy not fat deposits. Moreover, it is best and a lot easier to prevent health issues than to try to treat them afterwards.

We all know that it is not unusual for pet owners to allow their pets to sleep with them at night. In fact, one third of pet owners have at some time, permitted their pets to sleep on their beds. Dogs provide a companionship that can’t be given by any other kind of animal. However, this doesn’t mean to say that some people do not let their cats or another pets sleep with them too.
It is made easier too because dogs have a sleep pattern that is very much like ours. Dogs often rely on their owners with complete trust, which makes them a bit more relaxed during the night. This explains why most dogs fall to sleep easily and later on, enter into deep sleeps where REM sleep activities can occur. In fact, once dogs enter this stage, the owner needs to call them several times before they can truly be roused from sleep.
For sure, lots of us have already seen a dog paddling during sleep and, at times, barking with his eyes closed too. These dogs are believed to be dreaming. Breathing patterns can also be observed among dogs while they are asleep. For example, there are breeds which breathe heavily and there are breeds which breathe more lightly. The heavy breathers are much more likely to snore than those which do not breathe as heavily.

Spaying or neutering your dog is not only a smart way to avoid litters of puppies, but it is beneficial for your dog’s health. Also, it will eliminate many aggression complications and you will have fewer behavior complications.
To be able to keep your puppy’s attention you can do things that he appreciates but you must also reward him for small successes. Do not offer a food reward every time, however, because intermittent reinforcement is actually much more successful than constant reinforcement because he never realizes when he will get the treat so he will keep doing the behavior on the hope that he will get the food reward. Also too many food treats can be bad for your puppy’s wellbeing and weight. However, love and attention should be consistently given.
A goody does not necessarily have to be food. It can be a walk in the park, playing in the yard, riding in the car or even just a hug and pat on the head. Love and affection should not be withheld, as your dog will do just about anything for that alone. This is a great way to sustain your puppy’s incentive to please you.

All dogs desire to be trained. Dogs are much happier and much more satisfied when they know precisely what is expected of them. You will take pleasure in your pet more as well if he is well mannered and well behaved. Dogs are natural pack animals. They enjoy doing what is essential to please the leader of the pack or the “alpha dog”. You must make sure that you are considered his boss or his “alpha”.
Dogs that are not educated for obedience are as a rule much more tense and rambunctious because they do not know precisely what it expected of them. A dog is tends to be much happier and more comfortable when he knows precisely what they need to do at all times. A compliant dog is not just happier but he is safer, too.
You can take advantage of a lot of ways to train your dog. There are many books and videos out there and you can also find some great online courses. Nearly every city also has skilled dog trainers and dog obedience programs that you can attend also.

Dogs bark for a variety of reasons. Chiefly, barking is meant for communication purposes. Some breeds are more well known for excessive barking but every dog will bark at times. There are times when you want your dog to bark for communication purposes with you but everyone gets annoyed with a dog that barks excessively.
There are many reasons why a dog will bark. If your dog is bored because he stays in the house or the same yard everyday he may start barking for entertainment. Dogs enjoy social stimulation and interacting with others. Try to incorporate more playtimes or go for more walks. This may help your dog if he is barking excessively out of boredom.
Being overly nervous or frightened will also prompt a dog to start barking excessively. Properly socialized dogs tend to be calmer and more relaxed around various people and in various situations but a dog that is not used to new things can start barking out of anxiety. Start socializing your dog by taking him to new and different places and into different situations. Give him praise and rewards when he is quiet and well behaved and soon he will not be so nervous as he will associate the pleasing treat with the situation rather than nervousness.

Keeping the attention of a dog while training is not always an easy task. Dogs can be very easily distracted, and it is important to not allow the dog training sessions to be ruined by boredom. Making dog training fun for the dog and the human alike is essential to creating a happy, well-adjusted and well-trained dog.
You should provide random positive stimuli during the day in order to maintain the interest of the dog. Doing things the dog enjoys, like walking in the park, riding in the car, and playing with other dogs, are good ways to keep the dog’s attention, but you must give him rewards for his successes.
For example, in order to reward the dog for coming to you when you call him, ask the dog to come to you, without giving any clues about a walk, a car ride, or other treats.
After your dog has come to you and obediently sat down, attach the leash and start the reward. This can be either the before-mentioned walk in the park, ride in the car, or anything else the dog likes to do.
